First
United Methodist Church provides opportunities for all to become
an integral part of this church family through Christian
service. Each of us has unique God given gifts. We can assist
you in finding the area of ministry that will allow you to
experience spiritual growth, commitment and fellowship. There
are many areas of service at First Church. Please read the following list of ministry opportunities and decide which you are most interested. If you are interested in one of these opportunities, email your choices (from the link at the bottom of the list) or chose the print option to print and mail your choices. Someone will contact you regarding those opportunities for Christian service and spiritual growth. Here is a list of committees on which you could serve, along with their missions. Christian Education: to have an intimate relationship with God, to have a loving relationship with others, and to be in service to education and empower others for the same. Worship and Music: to provide opportunities for people to actively participate in worship that strengthens their relationship with God. Evangelism: to bring the Good News of Jesus Christ to all people of our community and to grow God's Church with active disciples. Finance and Stewardship: to propose, raise, manage, and distribute the resources of the congregation to support and strengthen the mission and ministry of the congregation. Trustees: to provide and maintain a warm, welcoming facility to allow the worship of our Lord for our membership and community. Staff/Pastor Parish Relations: to empower our pastors and congregation to express, exhibit, and extend brotherly love in our daily living. |
